Editor review

Maybe it’s because I chose to check out Roozervelts on the on the luckiest day of the millennium, or maybe my Qi was just well-aligned, but goddam this was a tasty burger!

We’ve had heaps of requests to review Roozervelts, and having experienced their enormous mid-week lunchtime queue I can see why. This place has a BIG following amongst the CBD carpet-stroller types. Reminding me very much of the fresh and well-textured burgers of What’s Fishin’ (Clifton Hill), Roozervelts, serve up a perfectly cooked crunchy-edged meat pattie with delightful herby flavours. Sweet caramelised onions fuse with melted cheese to give a lovely gooey contrast to the fresh crunchy lettuce and lightly toasted bun. Although I received a little bit of ‘egg backfire’ and a fair bit of the insides slipped out onto the table, it didn’t detract much from the genuine pleasure I took in consuming this burger.

Under Burgerquest's tough rating system Roozervelts has done very well to score a 4 out of 5....or maybe a lucky 888 out of 1000 would be more appropriate?
