According to Wiktionary - the standard repository of all grammatical knowledge - the term 'Bad Boy' is used to describe both a male criminal (e.g. "That bad boy done popped a cap in my ass") and a powerful or impressive product or item (e.g. "This bad boy has a fuel injected wankel rotary engine"). I suspect the folks at Bad Boy Burgers are implying the latter use of the term, because there's nothing bad about a Bad Boy Burger. The 'Bad Boy' is a gourmet 'Lot' minus egg (but don't worry - unlike other gourmet burger shops, you can add it and more), plus some very tasty extras. The thick, juicy, peppery patty is counter-pointed by some great tomato relish and a fine Dijon mayo. The onion has been caramelised perfectly and the cheese is a very tasty cheddar. And if you’re a weight-watching non-chip-eater it’s time to break your fast. Bad Boy employs the old school crinkle cut chips plus an awesome soy mayo for dipping (you can also get American or Dijon). Bad Boy has a large and innovative burger menu where even the vegetarians get a choice. The venue is slick and the staff friendly. All in all, one of the top burger joints in Melbourne. *(Note: Bad Boy is also the title of a 1978 album by Ringo Starr. It reached #129 in the US charts.) |
